Heart of the Artist

I praise you, Lord, for in your infinite wisdom you created a self-sustaining world, providing us with ample supplies of food and water. You are the God who provides all our needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Psalm 104:10-18; Philippians 4:19).

Lord Jesus, I marvel at how you command creation. For you set the earth on its foundations. You put each body of water, the mountains and valleys, in place. Even the winds and the seas obey you (Psalm 104:5-9; Matthew 8:26-27).

Lord, I join the angels in all their splendor, your messengers which you created, in worshiping your son, Jesus Christ (Psalm 104:4; Hebrews 1:6-7).

I worship you, God, for you are Lord over all creation. You stretch out the heavens like a tent. You lay the beams of your chambers on the water. You make the clouds your chariot. Let all creation know for certain that you have made Jesus both Lord and Messiah (Psalm 104:2-3; Acts 2:36).

Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are exceedingly great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment. I worship you, Jesus Christ, for you are the glorious light of the gospel, the image of God (Psalm 104:1-2; 2 Corinthians 4:4).

O Lord, I join all the angels in heaven, all the mighty ones who do your word, all your ministers fulfilling your will, and all your works in praising you. Bless the Lord, O my soul! I will forever bless my great Creator God (Psalm 103:20-22; Romans 1:25). 

I worship you, Lord, for you have established your throne in the heavens. Your kingdom rules over all. I worship you, Jesus, for you taught and performed miracles with great and divine authority (Psalm 103:19; Mark 1:27).

I worship you, Lord, for your steadfast love is from everlasting to everlasting, your righteousness passed down through the generations. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are (Psalm 103:17; 1 John 3:1).

I praise you, Lord, for you are a compassionate and merciful God. Like a loving father shows compassion to his children, you have shown great compassion to me (Psalm 103:13; Romans 9:15).

Lord, I praise you and thank you that you have not dealt with me according to my sins, nor repaid me according to my iniquities. As high as the heavens above the earth, so great is your steadfast love toward me. As far as the east is from the west, so far do you remove my transgressions from me. For the blood of Jesus your Son cleanses me from all sin (Psalm 103:10-12; 1 John 1:7).
